The Practice started life as a pub; census records from 1871 mention the Red Cow and its publican. Many locals will remember drinking here – we have been told it was reknown for its steak and chips on Sundays! An antique shop, and then an office/warehouse followed the pub. The building work to transform it into a vets started at the end of 2007 and it was mostly completed by February 2008

Facts about the refurb

• 1000 teabags and 182 pints of milk were used
• 70 new energy saving light bulbs have been installed
• 150m of data cable laid
• 4000 screws (or more) help hold everything in place.
